Historic and Modern Times Come Together at Žďár nad Sázavou Chateau

Zámek Žďár nad SázavouThe Baroque meeting rooms of the chateau may help enhance the professionalism of your business. Corporate meetings held in a chateau might be a welcome change for many of your business partners. If you are leaning in a similar direction, then Žďár nad Sázavou is your place of choice – a Baroque gem by renowned architect Jan Santini Aichel, lying below the magical Zelená hora, hidden amid the pristine nature of Žďárské Hills.

The options that the chateau has to offer are varied. There are six types of premises available, each of them original and each of them featuring an unforgettable atmosphere. The first to be renovated at the chateau were three walk-through Baroque halls, each of them for about 50 people. Connected to the halls is a corridor (used for catering), a cloak room and new bathrooms. The halls can be configured as needed for a specific event: you can hold a lecture in one of them, prepare catering in the second, and use the third one for a musical performance. We were captivated by the original frescoes on the walls that have been remarkably restored. You can rent an entire floor for your event with beautiful smaller lounges, suitable for management meetings.

The other chateau wing houses unique Baroque horse barns with a seating capacity of max. 150 people. In terms of elegance, the Oval Fresco Hall in the prelature with a seating capacity of 50 people does not disappoint. The brand new Hall in the convent is ideal for 200 people with its theatre seating arrangement. There is also a beautiful Baroque gallery with pieces from the National Gallery in Prague. Art lovers can admire valuable statues and paintings. The selection of modern conference rooms also includes the Inventorium in the New Generation Museum for about 130 people. With that, we have just entered the most modern renovated section of the chateau (a former brewery), where you can find the New Generation Museum. It provides an amazing experience of an audiovisual screening which bears the handwriting of Count Kinsky’s wife, who was an expressive dancer in France. The New Generation Museum is not just a museum; it is the key to understanding the entire grounds of this former convent and today’s chateau in Žďár nad Sázavou.

We can share with the most adventurous and creative of you that we also explored the splendid but abandoned space left after the Museum of Books, which no longer exists. The large apple orchard can also be used for entertainment purposes (for festivals, parties, picnics, etc.) In the Baroque tower, we climbed the spiral staircase peeked inside three stylish Baroque rooms with private bathrooms. From the tower windows, your company’s management will overlook a small building in which six suites will soon be built. Why not choose the Žďár nad Sázavou Chateau, which will take your event up one level, not just in terms of business, but also socially and culturally?
